In Alberta, urban housing starts totaled 2,425 in July 2019, a year-over-year decrease of 4.9%. Canadian housing starts increased by 7.3% over the same period. In Alberta, row units had the largest decline (-37.2%), while single- and semi-detached units declined 23.3% and 12.9% respectively. Apartment units increased by 36.0%.
