Alberta's retail trade value decreased by 2.1% in November 2016 compared to November 2015, to $6.15 billion. Nationally, retail sales increased by 3.0% over the same time frame led by strength in Prince Edward Island (+6.6%) and British Columbia (+6.5%). In Alberta, sales for gasoline stations (-10.3%) an electronics & appliances (-6.3%) saw the largest declines, while sales in health and personal care (+16.7%) increased the most.
