Alberta's international merchandise exports were $10.2 billion in May 2018, 15.3% higher than the same period last year. Canadian exports increased 1.3% over the same period.
In Alberta, exports of farm, fishing and intermediate food products decreased (-3.6%), while all other product categories increased. Forestry products saw the largest increase at 45.2%. Energy products, which increased by 16.4%, made up 70.0% of all exports in this period.
