In February 2016, the number of job vacancies in Alberta increased by 1.9% from the same month in 2016 to 26,400 vacancies. Over the same time frame, Canadian vacancies increased by 17.6% to 212,300. In February, Alberta accounted for 12.4% of the total number of job vacancies in Canada.
