Farm cash receipts increased by 3.8% to an all-time high of $4.1 billion in the first quarter of 2017 as compared to the same quarter last year. The national average for Q1 was an increase of 1.0%. Saskatchewan saw the largest decline (-4.7%) while Manitoba had the largest increase (4.8%). Alberta crop receipts increased by 7.1% to $2.4 billion, while livestock receipts declined 1.6% to $1.6 billion.
