Farm cash receipts increased by 6.3% to $3.4 billion in the third quarter of 2017 as compared to the same quarter last year. The national average for Q3 was an increase of 3.2%. Alberta saw the largest increase of any province, while Nova Scotia had the largest decline (-14.0%). Alberta crop receipts increased by 14.4% to $1.5 billion, while livestock receipts increased 4.0% to $1.6 billion and direct payments declined 15.5% to $257 million.
