Farm cash receipts decreased by 17.0% to $3.0 billion in the third quarter of 2016 as compared to the same quarter last year. The national average for Q3 was a decline of 8.8%, paced by drops in the two largest agricultural provinces, Alberta and Saskatchewan (-14.6%). Alberta crop receipts decreased by 21.5% to $1.2 billion, while livestock receipts declined 17.8% to $1.5 billion.
