The number of air passengers passing through Alberta's three largest airports increased 3.5% in May 2018 compared to the same period a year earlier. 49.0% of those passengers went through Calgary International Airport as domestic passengers, reaching a new high for traffic volumes in May (1,004,436 domestic passengers). The largest increase was seen in Edmonton's trans-border traffic (+15.0%). (Due to delays in data availability, Fort McMurray's numbers for April and May have been posted as zero.)
