The number of air passengers passing through Alberta's three largest airports increased 2.1% in September 2017 compared to the same period a year earlier. 49.2% of those passengers went through Calgary International Airport as domestic passengers. The largest increase was seen in Calgary's international traffic (+8.3%), while Fort McMurray's domestic traffic saw the largest decline (-14.9%) compared to the same month a year earlier.
